Captain Cooks Monument to Roseberry Topping
This is a fairly easy walk and starts from the car park at the bottom of Roseberry Topping. Heading through the woods and going up to Captain Cooks Monument first. This is a regular walk for us as its local and we have completed this walk multiple times in different directions. The route also follows part of the Cleveland Way which is a 190 mile route along the North Yorkshire coast and through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park from Filey to Helmsley.

There are a few ascents and descents along this route heading towards the Wainstones but is lower level on the way back. The Lord Stones country park has a cafe, restaurant and farm shop and houses a campsite which is definitely worth a visit.
